Columbia Children’s Health is unwavering in its dedication to elevate care for all children. This year’s gala will honor the Hope & Heroes Children’s Cancer Fund, its Board of Directors and its Founder, Michael Weiner, MD, Hettinger Professor Emeritus, Department of Pediatrics Columbia University Irving Medical Center and the former director of the Division of Oncology for their support of Columbia Children’s Health and the Hope & Heroes Division of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, and Stem Cell Transplantation. By investing in life-saving work for childhood cancer, they have been the cornerstone in establishing Columbia as the most comprehensive pediatric oncology program in the tri-state area. This essential funding provided by Hope & Heroes allows Columbia’s pediatric patients to live longer, fuller lives. The Children’s Gala remains a crucial fundraising tool to help support pioneering research and advancements in treatment led by the world-renowned physicians and scientists of Columbia Children’s Health.
