Celebrating National Doctors Day
On March 30, we are proud to celebrate National Doctors Day, a recognition of the extraordinary physicians who are dedicated to the health and well-being of all of our communities. Established in 1933 and formally recognized by Congress in 1958, the day was created to commemorate the contributions of dedicated, compassionate doctors across the United States. Here at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, we embrace the spirit of this observance by expressing our gratitude to the compassionate caregivers within our community, as well as to physicians nationwide who tirelessly care for their patients. We recognize pioneering researchers whose innovations continue to advance medical care. Here’s a message from VP&S Interim Dean Dr. James McKiernan, offering thoughts and thanks as we honor those who serve in the highest traditions of medicine.
