Past Panels

On March 19, 2019, the Transplant Forum hosted a panel discussion and reception, ‘Bench to Bedside’, which focused on the translation of transplant research to patient care. Almost 100 guests were in attendance for this special evening. Faculty panelists, Drs. Frank D’Ovidio, Marlena Habal, Mercedes Martinez and Sumit Mohan, represented research taking place in lung, heart, liver, and kidney transplantation, and discussed the importance of translating research into improved outcomes for patients. Questions from the audience were diverse and compelling, as attendees wanted to learn more about the future of immunosuppressant medications and how pediatric patients are supported when they transition from pediatric to adult care, for example.
