About the Women's Health Care Council
The Women’s Health Care Council for Columbia University Irving Medical Center will provide guidance, support and feedback to the Department of ob/gyn and Medical Center leadership on a range of issues related to institutional strategy, operations, and advancement. The creation of the Council parallels CUIMC’s vision and ambitious goals for providing the highest quality women’s health care, research, and education within a world-class comprehensive academic medical center.
The Council functions as the volunteer leadership for the Department of ob/gyn. Its primary goal will be to increase visibility and philanthropic support for all of CUIMC’s women’s health programs. The Council serves in an advisory and supportive capacity, and has no statutory or fiduciary role in the governance of the Department of ob/gyn or CUIMC.
